I want to start a journal, but just can't seem to do it. I look at all these LOVELY, artistic, inspired journals of other artists and just can't seem to put pen or pencil to paper and get it all out. Sigh. HELP!!
If it helps, I give you permission to just journal when you want to and not make it a duty (if you're the type who needs permission--lol!). Personally I have always had a mild, secret envy of people who can journal or keep a daily diary. I've never been consistent and then I end up with guilt. Maybe find something else to call it so it takes the pressure off. I started just keeping a blank book handy and some days I sketch ideas and other days I just write or make big letters and some days I don't do anything in it! Is that what they call a creative sketchbook? Just do whatever it takes to take the pressure off! --LaRinda ;-)
I am a follower of Christ, first and foremost. A wife, a mother, a sister, a friend. Other hats I wear at times: Homeschooling Mom, self-employed business owner, military mom, and mixed-media artist. I have been married for almost 28 years to my husband and best friend, and we have four fabulous boys. In my past life, I was a technical writer in the oil/gas (and aerospace) industry and worked on a MA in Art History. I am working to use my talents to glorify my Lord and Savior as He leads me!

thanks so much for your input. I am trying to remember to keep a book with me. I'll keep you informed on how it goes!
